STTA Live! National Coming Out Day 2023

October 11, 2023 is the 35th Anniversary of National Coming Out Day, a day meant to celebrate LGBTQ+ people living their lives openly, support those working to come out of the closet, and always center safety as LGBTQ+ folks make those decisions and plans. It is also an opportunity to reflect on what it means to be openly LGBTQ+ and how our understanding and expectations of coming out have changed over the years.

Join us this Thursday, October 5 for Something to Talk About Live!

October 1-7 is Banned Books Week

Everyone deserves access to diverse stories and inclusive education— and the freedom to learn. PFLAG is a proud partner of the Banned Books Week coalition, and we're encouraging PFLAGers to Read With Love. How can you Read With Love?

Visit pflag.org/ReadWithLove to learn about how you can take action and support inclusive books and education.

PFLAG Connects: Communities - October Meetings

PFLAG Connects: Communities (PCC) provide a safe, virtual, moderated space where people with shared experiences can connect each month. PFLAG National’s current communities gather people of Latino, Black/African American, and Asian American and Pacific Islander backgrounds to gain support, ask questions, and learn from others who have been through similar experiences.

We also host a Military Community meeting, in partnership with our friends at the Modern Military Association of America (MMAA).

Learn more and check out our upcoming meetings for September.

International Lesbian Day

Sunday, October 8, is International Lesbian Day! To our wonderful lesbian community- PFLAG sees you, not only today or this week, but all year long and we are #PFLAGProud of you!
