PFLAG National Office Closure Next Week

Our office will be closed July 1-7 for a well-deserved rest period after an incredible pride month. We won't be sending out We Lead next week.

While our office is closed, our website and online resources will remain accessible. A few resources you may find helpful:

This week in 1972 - Jeanne Manford Marched

On June 25, 1972, Jeanne Manford marched with her son, Morty, in New York's Christopher Street Liberation Day March, the precursor to today's Pride march. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

After many gay and lesbian people at the march asked Jeanne to talk to their parents, she decided to begin a support group. The first formal PFLAG meeting took place on March 11, 1973, at the Metropolitan-Duane Methodist Church in Greenwich Village (now the Church of the Village).

Pride Never Ends

This may be the last week of Pride, but remember: Pride Never Ends! We'll continue to support, educate, and advocate for LGTBQ+ people and those who love them all year long. 🌈

I Changed My Mind

I Changed My Mind is a new series created by Brooke Sebold that aims to normalize what the changing mind looks like through conversations with individuals who have changed their mind about significant topics that lead to a personal paradigm shift in their lives.

Check out the first episode about a mother who learned how to lead with love and support and affirm her trans son.
