We're highlighting this May 2023 Something To Talk About Live episode "The Experiences of LGBTQ+ Youth in Military Families", where we discuss the mental health of LGBTQ+ youth in military families, why support and resources are so important, and how you can be an ally to LGBTQ+ young people who have a parent in the military.

PFLAG Connects: Communities May Meetings

PFLAG Connects: Communities (PCC) provide a safe, virtual, moderated space where people with shared experiences can connect each month. PFLAG National’s current communities gather people of Latino, Black/African American, and Asian American and Pacific Islander backgrounds to gain support, ask questions, and learn from others who have been through similar experiences. 

We also host a Military Community meeting, in partnership with our friends at the Modern Military Association of America (MMAA).

New in May: PFLAG Connects: Gender Spectrum Parent Community, the newest addition to our PCC program. The first meeting will meet for 90 minutes on the third Monday of each month, at 8pm ET/5pm PT, beginning Monday, May 20th.

Trans Athletes Belong in Sport

Sport is at its best when every athlete can be proud of who they are and focus on the game. Dozens of PFLAG chapters across the country and PFLAG National proudly joined 400+ athletes, 300+ scholars and 50+ organizations in calling on the NCAA Board of Governors to protect the freedom of transgender NCAA athletes to participate in the sport they love. 🏳️‍⚧️
