There’s More to The Story – National Library Week 2023

As school districts and local governments implement  more book bans, some people — in places like Missouri, New York, Texas, and Virginia — have advocated to  close or defund libraries completely. This would deprive the more than 172 million Americans who rely on their services from an integral community resource.

PFLAG Connects: Communities - May Meetings

PFLAG Connects: Communities (PCC) provide a safe, virtual, moderated space where people with shared experiences can connect each month. PFLAG National’s current communities gather people of Latino, Black/African American, and Asian American and Pacific Islander backgrounds to gain support, ask questions, and learn from others who have been through similar experiences.

We also host a Military Community meeting, in partnership with our friends at the Modern Military Association of America (MMAA).

Submit your comment today in support of hard-won Title IX protections in sport!

20 states have anti-trans sports bans, with more states trying to pile on with trans discrimination. Now, it’s time to take action in support of trans student athletes

The Department of Education is taking comments from now through May 15th on its proposed rule on Title IX Athletics, which prohibits categorical exclusion of trans athletes by schools and sets criteria to which they must adhere to receive federal funds. Read our fact sheet to learn more about the proposed rule.

Submit your comment today! Together we can ensure that non-discrimination protections based on sex are fully inclusive of our transgender, nonbinary and intersex loved ones and neighbors!

Take Action: Tell your Representative to vote NO on HR 734

Join PFLAG National in opposing H.R. 734 (the so-called Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2023) and rejecting its targeted attacks on transgender, nonbinary, and intersex youth. The House will take up this anti-trans bill THIS WEEK!

We need our federal legislature to let kids play, and to not follow the in the footsteps of the 20 states that already have discriminatory anti-trans youth sports laws on the books.

Contact your U.S. Representative today and tell them to vote “No” on HR 734--be sure to mention that you are a constituent AND a proud member of PFLAG when you do!
