New Short Film: Pieces of Me

On Saturday March 30th, in honor of Transgender Day of Visibilty, we premiered our newest short film, Pieces of Me. Directed, produced, and written by Nick Oceano-Armendariz—the film centers on the life of New York-based artist and transgender activist Joslyn DeFreece.

Big News in Texas!

Last week, the Texas Appeals Court upheld injunctions in two of our related Texas cases--Doe v. Abbott and PFLAG v. Abbott--protecting trans youth and their families from unwarranted investigations.

These injunctions block the implementation of a discriminatory rule by DFPS that sought to expand the definition of child abuse to include the provision of gender-affirming care, putting transgender youth and their families at risk of unlawful investigations.

Reminder: PFLAG Connects: Communities April Meetings

PFLAG Connects: Communities (PCC) provide a safe, virtual, moderated space where people with shared experiences can connect each month. PFLAG National’s current communities gather people of Latino, Black/African American, and Asian American and Pacific Islander backgrounds to gain support, ask questions, and learn from others who have been through similar experiences. 

We also host a Military Community meeting, in partnership with our friends at the Modern Military Association of America (MMAA).
