STTA Live! March is Bisexual+ Health Month

March is Bisexual+ Health Month! In last year's Something to Talk About Live episode, we hosted a conversation with Helen Parshall, Board Member at Large, from the Bisexual Resource Center about health disparities among Bi+ people, why Bi+ health matters, and how medical providers and loved ones can be allies.

Florida PFLAG Chapters Celebrate "Don't Say Gay" Bill Settlement

Let's take a moment to shout it out again: teachers and students can say gay and trans in Florida schools! The huge victory last week in Florida demonstrated yet again that taking away resources that help LGBTQ+ youth thrive is a losing battle. Our PFLAG chapters in Florida have a lot to celebrate with this news!

“As a parent of an LGBTQ+ child in Florida, I am relieved and heartened by the historic settlement that challenged the harmful 'Don't Say Gay' law. This victory signifies a step forward in ensuring our children feel safe, supported, and seen in their schools. Every child deserves to learn in an inclusive environment free from discrimination, and this settlement is a significant milestone in upholding those principles. Parents are taking back this state and demanding our children be allowed to live as their authentic selves in all spaces.” - Jennifer Solomon, PFLAG Miami

Q Chat Space: A program for LGBTQ+ teens

PFLAG National is proud to partner with our friends at CenterLink and Planned Parenthood on Q Chat Space, which provides live, chat-based discussion groups for LGBTQ+ and questioning teens ages 13 to 19. It is not a forum, and there is no video or audio. Everyone is chatting during the same pre-scheduled time. Chats are facilitated by experienced staff and volunteers from youth programs at LGBTQ+ centers across the United States.
