Remembering Jeanne Manford

Today we honor our founder, Jeanne Manford, who passed away on this date in 2013. PFLAG's founding in 1973 was rooted in her love for her son, activism, and calls for justice for the LGBTQ+ community.

Advocacy and meaningful action for our LGBTQ+ loved ones is the foundational work of PFLAG, and deeply rooted in our vision of an equitable, inclusive world where every LGBTQ+ person is safe, celebrated, empowered, and loved.

PFLAG Connects: Communities - January Meetings

PFLAG Connects: Communities (PCC) provide a safe, virtual, moderated space where people with shared experiences can connect each month. PFLAG National’s current communities gather people of Latino, Black/African American, and Asian American and Pacific Islander backgrounds to gain support, ask questions, and learn from others who have been through similar experiences.

We also host a Military Community meeting, in partnership with our friends at the Modern Military Association of America (MMAA).

Learn more and check out our upcoming meetings for January.

Q Chat Space: A program for LGBTQ+ teens

PFLAG National is proud to partner with our friends at CenterLink and Planned Parenthood on Q Chat Space, which provides live, chat-based discussion groups for LGBTQ+ and questioning teens ages 13 to 19. It is not a forum, and there is no video or audio. Everyone is chatting during the same pre-scheduled time. Chats are facilitated by experienced staff and volunteers from youth programs at LGBTQ+ centers across the United States.
