Three Steps to Being...A Better Trans Ally (While You’re Stuck at Home)

Just because you’re staying in doesn’t mean doesn’t mean your ally skills should slow down! So, stay safe and take these steps to engage:

  1. Learn: Check out to help you learn more about what you can do to be a better ally to individuals who identify as transgender and/or nonbinary, no matter where you are on your ally journey.
  2. Watch: PFLAG Academy On-Demand includes multiple sessions for those who would like to grow their trans ally skills including Our Trans & Nonbinary Loved Ones: Owning Your Role in Creating More Inclusive PFLAG Chapters for PFLAG Chapter leaders. This year, PFLAG National was also proud to partner with Climbing Every Mountain, a film series by Transilient, about transgender and nonbinary people living in Appalachia—and the lack of access to healthcare.
  3. Share: Use social media to be a part of PFLAG’s #TransKids #SoFierce video and photo campaign which was launched on Trans Day of Visibility.
