Dear Chapter Leader,

I was thrilled to see so many of you and your chapter members at our sold out Learning With Love: The PFLAG National Convention! First Lady Jill Biden was the keynote speaker for our opening ceremony, and her words were such an affirmation of the work you all do every day in your communities.  We were also proud to host two plenary panels, one on fighting against book bans and the other on trans healthcare, featuring incredible guests including Adm. Rachel Levine, Dr. Jesse Ehrenfeld of the American Medical Association, MSNBC’s Ali Velshi, and the President of the American Library Association, Emily Drabinski. 


If you weren’t able to attend, we live-streamed all of the sessions above and they are available on demand on our YouTube page. We hope you will not only watch them but share them with others.

November is Military Family Appreciation Month

November is an important month for military families, including Military Family Appreciation Month and Veteran’s Day on November 11. At PFLAG National, we support our military families year round through our PFLAG Connects: Military Community, created in partnership with our friends at the Modern Military Association of America to support service members and their LGBTQ+ loved ones.

We are excited to welcome Cathy Marcello, Assistant Director of Programs at the Modern Military Association of America, and Becca Stewart, primary author of the PFLAG National publication At Ease: Support for Military Families with LGBTQ+ Children and Teens, as our guests.

There has never been a greater need to have educated and engaged allies fighting for equality. In this session, updated for 2023, we’ll review what advocates need to know to fight for their trans and nonbinary loved ones. Then we’ll put what we’ve learned to work, navigating real-world scenarios.
