Learning with Love: the 2025 PFLAG National Convention is less than three months away! If you have not registered yet, there is still time to join us in Chicago. Some of you have noticed that we haven’t said the specific location. We are being thoughtful about where and how we share it out of an abundance of caution for safety and security. The link to book your hotel room at the Convention hotel (where all activities are taking place) is shared in the confirmation email after you register. Folks who submitted a workshop proposal were notified last week. We will be making more information available about specific workshops soon!

Nominate a PFLAG Chapter for a PFLAG National Chapter Award

The deadline is rapidly approaching to nominate a PFLAG chapter—including your own—for a 2025 PFLAG National Chapter Award.

Presented at our biennial convention, Learning With Love, PFLAG National Chapter Awards honor chapters that are going above and beyond to help achieve PFLAG’s mission of creating a caring, just, and affirming world for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them.

All chapters in good standing are eligible for this award, and at least one chapter leader from each winning chapter will need to be present at the convention. Honorees will be announced on Tuesday, September 9th. 

The deadline for submissions is Friday, August 8th, so we encourage you to submit your nomination now, at pflagnation.al/2025ChapterNoms.

As the old saying goes, those who don’t know history are destined to repeat it. In this session, PFLAGers will review key facts about LGBTQ+ history, examine key advocacy issues that will impact people who are LGBTQ+ in 2025, and understand what history can tell us about the challenges and opportunities we currently face. We’ll also consider how the past and LGBTQ+ leaders throughout history can inform the ways in which we, and our chapters, take action and create change. Register today!
