Dear Chapter Leader,

With the Tuesday, February 15, 2023 due date for annual responsibilities looming, please work to submit your IRS and state filings, as well as update your membership roster and pay chapter dues. In the Member Portal you will find more details regarding each of the tasks needed to be completed to keep your chapter in good standing.

At this point, if you have not started completing these tasks, please start by filing your taxes with the IRS; failure to do so may lead to penalties for late filing or revocation of your tax-exempt status. If you need help completing these tasks, please reach out to Chapter Services Sr. Coordinator Angel Kearns (akearns@pflag.org) or the Chapter Engagement staffer for your region.

Thank you for all that you do,

Jamie Curtis (she/her)
Director of Chapter Engagement

New! PFLAG National is Offering Free Chapter Websites

New websites are now being offered free of charge to chapters! These new websites are easy to use, fully within PFLAG brand guidelines, and include many resources and publications from PFLAG National. We’ll also provide training and support to help you get your website up and running. PFLAG National will cover hosting costs as another benefit to our chapters. If you have a custom URL, such as gbpflag.org, your chapter will cover only that cost.

Check out PFLAG Sarasota’s new website for a great example of this new offering.

If your chapter is interested and would like to sign up for a chapter website through us, please fill out this form and we’ll be in touch. Have questions? Reach out to Sr. Digital Strategist Jackson Alder (jalder@pflag.org) and Chief Information Sr. Manager Brooke Smith (bsmith@pflag.org).

Responses may be chosen to appear in the forthcoming 2024 edition of the guide to being a trans and nonbinary ally. Stories can be submitted at pflagnation.al/TransNonbinaryAllyGuideStories until Friday, March 1.
