Annual Chapter Responsibilities

The deadline for this year's annual responsibilities deadline is fast approaching! Get started on your annual chapter responsibilities today. The due date for this fiscal year is about one month away: Thursday, February 15, 2024. Check out the most recent email from Angel Kearns, our Chapter Services Senior Coordinator, with details regarding each of the tasks needed to be completed to keep your chapter in good standing. If you need help completing these tasks, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Angel (akearns@pflag.org).

Please be aware that the IRS filing portal is currently undergoing maintenance. We are monitoring the situation closely and will inform you as soon as it is back up and running. In the meantime, please have the necessary information ready for when the system becomes operational.

Looking to tackle another important task for your chapter's annual responsibilities while the IRS site is down? Ensure your chapter's state filings are completed! Most states require PFLAG chapters to file an annual report to stay in compliance. Due dates and requirements vary and while it’s the responsibility of your chapter to find this information, we have compiled a list of Annual Filing Requirements by State that you can access here. You should also consider doing your own independent research to ensure that you’re completing all of the required filings.
