| Dear PFLAG Supporter, Using social media is crucial to promoting your chapter this Pride season, in terms of both your June events and Give OUT Day. Give OUT day is June 28th this year! Give OUT Day is a fundraising campaign that runs throughout the month of June, and it’s the only national giving event for the LGBTQ community. Donations from June 1 through Give OUT Day itself on June 28th count toward Leaderboard prizes: thousands in additional dollars that go to organizations with the most unique donors in their category. There’s still time to learn more and register for Give OUT day here. When registering make sure to use your chapter’s EIN and not PFLAG National’s EIN (95-3750694), please reach out if you’d like to verify the information. #GiveOUTDay Social media visibility methods and reminders - Create a FB event
- Make an event poster and share on social (FB, Instagram, etc.)
- Have a local community group? Share events your chapter is attending in the group!
- Tagging helps! If you’re working with a partner organization, tagging them in your posts grows the audience who will hear about your event.
- Ask partner organizations as well as chapter members and supporters to share and uplift your posts.
#PFLAGProud #LeadWithLove #PFLAGChapterName, a quick note about these hashtags–it’s important to use capital letters at the beginning of each new word to make them accessible to folks who use screen readers and other accessibility tools. |
| | Canva Updates We’ve heard your feedback and have some news! We’re adding more templates to the PFLAG Canva Team, including t-shirt designs, brochures, rack cards, business cards, and more! We’ll be adding these to the Brand Templates through June to help you create materials for your chapter. To find these templates, click on Create a Design on the Canva homepage and type in or select what you’d like to create. Then, on the left side menu in the design interface, click on Brand Hub. This is the central place to find templates, brand colors, fonts, icons, photos, and design elements. Haven’t signed your chapter up for our PFLAG Canva Team? Sign up at: pflag.org/CanvaSignup Every chapter can have one free Canva account on the team. We appreciate hearing your feedback, both positive and constructive. Let us know how you’re doing with Canva and how we can help your chapter succeed with this powerful tool. |
